Default est. new tranny cost w/labor

So, I just found out the TT I bought recently needs a new tranny. Does anyone have any estimates so I know what to expect. I plan on having it done at an Audi dealer.

Thanks,
Sean

how long ago?

Lemon laws will cover you if you bought it from a dealer recently.

And Audi will charge you 1.5 x to double what a private shop will

I bought it last friday. The dealer actually offered me a refund or to split the cost. I just wanna see if he is inflating the quote to help himself. He says itl be 4800.00.

Get a refund unless the car cost you well under 10K

adding 2400 onto the price you paid will get you a nicer car with a good trans.

take it back, get a refund, have him fix it, and buy it a month later for the same price.

I only paid 9400 for it. But, itd be hard to afford that extra 2400 for a tranny when I have to replace the tranny in my explorer too.

the dealer is screwing you... look up lemon laws for your state, and depending on the state you should be completely covered
especially within a week of buying the car, that's total BS and they knew the tranny was about to grenade

$5 says they were shady about letting you test drive it too.

O, Im def planning on getting the refund, picking up the check after work. They werent shady about test driving at all actually, but I only talked to the desk lady who prolly didnt know anything. I only gotta test drive it for about 15 minutes and the problem only starts after 20-30 min of driving, so it didnt act up during the test. I asked him about it after I bought it and he said its the CPU trying to downshift too soon, total bs. I knew he was full of ****. I was just hoping it was bad code or maybe just needing a flush. But those all came back negative. Damn it was a fun car tho, looks like im gonna save up for a quality one.

refund means you return the car, correct?

What are you doing from there?
