Default ESP button

so ESP button is the trac control button. Is it bad to leave the trac control off?
when its cold and wet i like to turn it off because it is annoying. Not sure if thats bad or not lol

First thing i do everytime i get in the car is hit that button.

only bad thing is if you ever wanted it and it went bad, if you always leave it off you wouldn't know it doesn't work. But no harm done having it off!

Stupid question lol... So the esp is on when the light is on right? Not when the light is off when you 1st get in the car right...

No...

When you get in the car, before you do anything and the light is off the ESP is ON

When you push the button the ! light comes on and your ESP is OFF.

What model year do you have again?
Did the older ones have a button?

lol. I was doing it wrong all along. Driving in 4" of snow with it off, ect. Are you sure?? I guess it does have a "!"...

Also- What does it mean when the esp light flashes for a seccond? Such as when you spin the tires?

It means you broke traction enough for it to come on, and that it's working.

I only turn it off when i want to push the car hard. If im not pushing the car off a light or blazing around corners, theres no reason to turn off a safety device. However i did have to turn the ASR (2000) off to go up hill in the snow since it was just pulling power and getting me nowhere.

Light on - ASR/ESP is off
Light off - ASR/ESP is on
Flashing light - power is being pulled since you dont have traction
Light stays on - it just cant keep up from my exp.
