hi,
i had my engine coolant fill due to very low amount of fluids and was put in orange fluid instead of pink. would this cause damage to my engine or would you suggest to drain and refill with pink engine coolant G12?
thanks in advance.

RE: engine coolant
I put about a 1/2 cup of the orange stuff (which i was told by several people never to put into any car because i guess it eats away parts or something) in my Audi and I noticed that it runs about 1 line shy of the half mark now due to it... it sometimes goes up to the 1/2 mark for coolant temp, but since i added in just that little bit it runs cooler. I am going to drain and clean and put in the G12 only. I suggest you do the same!!

RE: engine coolant
I'll say first off, Universal Coolant isn't universal.
Keep with the G12, it was engineered for the cars, it'll do you good. Your car isn't going to burst into flames or anything by not running G12, but eventually, over time, you'll probalby end up with some pitting and erosion of your coolant system. If you can, run the G12. If you can't right now, do a flush when you CAN get to it.
