Default ENGINE!

Im looking for an audi engine for a tt i have an 01 audi tt 180hp and the engine took a crap on me bent valves and all that good crap.
1.how hard is it to replace the valves?

2.or does anyone have for sale an engine?

3.if so does the 225hp one work in just the tt with the 180 hp do the trannys line up or something or what else would i have to change?

4.How hard is it to do a engine swap

5. where can i get engines from?

any advice would help so get back to me

first advise, DONT CHANGE THE TEXT!!

it sounds like all you need is either new valves or a new head. There is no point in getting a new block if nothing is wrong with the old one.

u got it timing belt.... at 107k miles but yea how hard is it to change the valves?

Shouldnt be to hard, but you need a special tool to remove the head. You can get them at a pep boysor large auto parts stores i do believe. But you need to make sure you didnt damage the pistons because of the valves. If you have some good auto skills you can handle it.

dont forget the valve spring compressors! i'm pretty good with mechanics and engines and i dont think i would tackle the valve replacement unless i had about a month to devote to it.... it took me about 2.5 weeks to do my clutch job with fuel filter and oil change. I like to take my time with things and that valve replacement doesnt look easy.

hahahahaha, i hear ya brother. just happend to me. i suggest you try to make someone else pay for it! what can we do guys? aboutthis timing belt thing. it sucks.
