Default ecu

Im buying a spare ecu to get chipped and was wondering what I need to know to ensure compatibility. I have a 2000 1.8 TT FWD. The chip is from a 2000 TT FWD too. Will this work with my car?

Shouldn't be an issue if they both don't have immobilizers. My 2000 FWD has no immobilizer, don't know if they all came that way.

check the ecu #'s, if they are the same, then no worries.
