I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a replacement cap for the door. It is the one right under the grab handle on the inside that you need to release to remove the door panel. Thanks.

 

dealer part I would think or breakers yard, I doubt it will be expensive from the dealers

I called the stealer and they said 8N0867163 does not come up as a valid part number.

 

Hmm... that is the only number that comes up in the ETKA. Have them take a look at illustruation 867-00.... It is item #9 "Cover Cap"

 

I found the part on vagcat.com. It turned out to be part number 443857845. It is under $3. Sorry I didn't think to look there first. I thought I tried there once before.

 

This thread ends on a good note. My local stealer is a stone throw away on either side of me (the luck of living in South Florida). I went to pre-pay on this part and had to walk through the Porsche shop to get to Parts Department. It was like an adults Disneyland.Porsches everywhere. They good thing is when the part comes in I get to walk through it again.

 

would you go to disneyland and not ride the rides? i dont think so.

you can't walk through a porsche shop and atleast not sit down in one!
