Did i ever claim it was Did you even read the thread? If you have read you would of said it makes simular power, no reliability issues, and recommended if you dont have funds for a chip yet or plan on going BT shortly after buying the car. Not once did i claim it was better than a chip, just a nice alternative if you are looking for more power w/o spending $500

You can speculate all you want and try to put words in my mouth if you want, but until you do, your just talking.

No it's been suggested though, Jeesh you are an agreesive one to talk too though aren't you!

I'm just stating is that to do it properly and have full control of the timing, fuelling and boost over all ranges you need to remap.

You can find them on ebay. The stock ecu only reads to 5v so a 5.1v wouldnt change anything. Also the volts = psi to the ecu and 4.3v is 11psi which is under the 1bar limit for the ecu

I don't plan on doing the diode but do have a question about how it works. I understand it clamps the map at whatever the diode is in volts and sends that to the ecu but how does this effect fueling? if the ecu is only seeing for example 11psi but in reality you are at say 18, is your fuel map still in a safe range or are adjustments made to fueling some other way? I realize this has been done by many and found to be safe, just trying to understand the way this works w/o harming anything. ( I didn't read all four pages of this thread so it may have been covered )

I can see that [8D] Anyways, your maf will show the increase in flow and the o2 will control fueling, the map is just another tuning/safety device
