Dieselgeek Short Throw Shifter Install
Just got back from the test drive after installing the Dieselgeek short throw shifter kit in my 2002 Quattro 225. Nicely machined piece of gear. Instructions are pretty long but the install was very straight forward. Took my time with the install, took just about an hour. Initial impression, I like it.

Substantial difference in feel. Unlike the B&M kit I put into a VW Golf, this one has side to side reduction. I didn't take any photos, but I have to install a coolant sensor sometime today (it didn't show up in the mail until late in the day after the shifter install was done and tested) so I'll have the airbox out again and I'll snap and post a photo later. There are some good photos on the dieselgeek site under the installation instructions.

Sorry for the long delay prior to posting photos, short notice business trip to Lancaster, PA. Fortunately I had the compact flash card and laptop with me. Side note: the coolant temp sensor came later that day which is why I had the airbox back out again and able to take these shots. It is easy to change, just make sure you order an extra retaining clip, less than a buck, not really sure where the original went, I'm sure I'll find it next time I change oil.
