I know this post has kind of slipped down the page a bit, but for a 225qr, would it make sense to get the 42dd dp before a catback system. I get that you want both at some point, and you probally wont get all you can out of the dp, but I'd like to take some heat and lil pressure of the turbo b4 doing the rest of the setup. I would probally do this as the first mod. I have no intention of going big turbo/stage 3.

You really should get a dp before the cat back. You will see more gains with a dp alone than just a catback. But both is best at some point

I'm with cincy on this one. THE MOST restrictive part of the stock 225 exhaust system is the downpipe. Pic's don't really do it justice. Get that sucker out of there with the twin cats and have it side by sidewith a 3" dp and you will know what I mean. I went down pipe first then catback.

what do you mean pics dont do it justice? The quattro downpipes (180 and 225) both break off into 2 pipes and two cats. Thats just not smart if you ask me.... or light.

I could have worded that better but oh well.....
What I mean is seeing the aftermarket dp (my 42DD) compared to the stocker side by side in real life vsthe pics online. The difference is night and day between the setups.

The downpipe with a highflow cat is the first thing you should get done on the exhaust. I did a Techtonic 2.75 downpipe with highflow cat and it made alot of difference on my 180. The cat really restricts the flow and should be addressed first. Later I did a Borla catback and the butt dyno didnt tell me alot at that point, but (no pun intended) the butt dyno told the story on the bigger DP.
