Has anybody built their own front bumper for the TT? I want something thats durable maybe even made of some metal. I live in tahoe and we get a good amount of snow in the winters, mine basically just got ripped off this morning. So I figured maybe i can find a heavy duty bumper or a brush guard type sort of thing to just blow over the snow and not worry about it. Any of you ever see or hear about something like that??

 

How durable are you talking? You might be able to fabricate something but i have literally searched for hours for bumpers for the TT. Everything aftermarket is fiberglass and flimsy. OEM is expensive (between 700-1000) but stronger. Unfortunately the core support is fiberglass too so there really isnt any other good mounting points besides the bumper reinforcement and the frame mounts.

you could take this route :P You could find a 4x4 shop to build one... since technically you are driving a 4x4.

 

Yeah thats actually what i'd be looking for. just something beastly, doesnt have to be sexy looking like the oem. I just hate having to worry about the snow muffing it up.
