Allrighty! Now that the cars some what stable and isnt being a total a$$, the exhaust build is back up and running. Turbo back, 3", Custom DP, magnaflow cat and Borla XR-1 muffler goes on March 21st and ill get the car back March 22nd. $800 said and done.
As for the K03. I'm gonna use it as long as the shaft play isnt immense in it (I've got a strange suspicion it will be...) If it comes down to the K03 being nasty, one of you wouldnt happen to have a good K04 laying around youd like to ditch would ya? :-D The K04 would be nicer to have im thinking since when I get AchTTungs ECU thats got ARP's 93/100 octane flash on it.

Damn thats a good deal for $800. Do you know how much they're charging per piece ya know turbo to cat then cat back?

at the moment no, But, Im gonna have him take pictures of the build for me and write down $ per section since alot of people are curious of that as well. And keep in mind $800 is w/ me supplieing my own Catalytic and Muffler. So everything else is his resources.
Ill give him a call sometime soon though and ask if he has a Price Per Piece amount.

Well, this friday is the build date. Car is going into RDFabs for the full turbo back and they're going to remove the bumper and do a whole new IC Setup, DV Reloc as well as MBC Reloc closer to TB. They had a Massive FMIC there Passenger side in & out for $100, totally bought that bad boy!

They're gonna take pictures of the whole build and will post them on their website (www.rdfabs.com) for anyone who wants to check them out. For sure this weekend the full exhaust will be done. The FMIC and piping is gonna be done at a later time.

So, just returned home with the car. HOLY GOD. 10psi solid, 2000rpm starts to boost, Very Very fast. Aggressive tone. AMAZING. RDFabs did a Stunning Stunning job w/ the welds/Downpipe and Stainless. They're sending me pics soon and ill post them. Had the whole thing done in one day =)

Very pleased with them! This also means I have my Borla Catback for sale. Single tip w/ 1000 miles on it if any ones interested. I will get a clip of how the car sounds soon because I know some people are interested to hear How the Borla XR-1 Sounds. Absolutley Amazing!

I will admit. It is Too loud. But good lord it sounds Great. I had my friend bomb around town with it and it's a Very distinct tone or Non ricy turbo. Theres a rasp sound until cat/mufflers broken in. I fear it Will need a resonator installed....even w/ 50 miles on it this system is Loud. Next weekend ill have a clip up =)

lol allright allright - i'll see if I can borrow some ones camcorder. My kodak cam takes great vid but has bleh sound recording. Gotta fix the rattle first...Exhaust pushed back and is rubbing on the Rear valence.

Also something odd happened tonight. It's ~23 out right now and I drove the car perfectly fine. I hit the drive way and let the car idle for 2 minutes. The car acted like it was gonna stall on me. This is the problem it Use to do on startups. Sorta fluxtuate in RPM, spool a little, then be ok. Then do it again.
The shop I had the exhaust done on said they did another 1.8T w/ a 3" and his idled stupidly until he ditched the DV and put on an HKS SSQV. I've got my new SSQV right next to me. Maybe ill put that on tomorrow and see if it stops that.

Yeah that sounds pretty weird. Have you cleaned your throttle body lately? Real easy to do and may be the problem. It probably is getting stuck from residue and making it do that. Just a thought
