Default custom air intake

Looking to replace the stock airbox and filter. Im thinking about running tip to maf to short piece of silicone or aluminum tube and then a cone filter. What filter is recommended? Oiled or dry? And will this guy work for the sai? http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=BCS

Just put the cone filter right on the MAF. Your not really supposed to use oiled as it can dirty up the MAF.

I went with a shroom filter. I like it.

Havent some people have poor maf reading due to uneven airflow when a cone filter is right on the maf? BTW maf is 3" right?

no problems here..
just make sure if its a washable filter that there isnt alot of oil(the spray that comes with it) on the filter....thats where some ppl have ran into trouble.
so thats why a foam shroom filter might be the best bet.

shroom filter is probably the crappiest for "filtering"

^yup. thats prob the best filter you can get imo. I had an aem dry flow on my tiburon. I would have one on my tt too but i got excited when i first bought my car and the autozone filter was the first thing available lol.
