Default custom 3" DP

so my buddy the welder said that he could build me a custom 3"dp. He says that the only thing he needs is a good flange. My question is, would it be possible to use the existing flange to build off of? I have my doubts as to If this will work or not, but this dude is the only one I would trust with such an enormous task.

Mine is a 225, so I think it will be a little different. But yes, I'm planning on using my existing flange.

you know, my first shot would be just to use the exsisting flange like your doing, or i saw on 42dd website that they will sell you flanges. But hey..since you already have the flange on your factory dp right now, why not just use it, save some money from not buying one, and by your women something shinny lol

Your response was making a lot of sense until you said: "and buy your women something shinny"

hahah now i dont know if that was a sarcastic comment lol, but if it wasnt, wat i meant was.....with the money he'd be saving from not buyin a flange from 42dd, he would have some extra MONEY to buy is women something shinny(figure of speech, like a ring, or necklace) ahhha. If that was sarcastic, sorry about my rebudel, i love you, and we can still be friends on the forum lol.
