Curious as to who (if anyone) drives an automatic

RE: Curious as to who (if anyone) drives an automatic
I wish our driver tests here in the states were more like that. Maybe add a section where you're tested on the basic operation of an internal combustion engine, so people aren't so clueless about the 2 ton weapons they're piloting around.

ill agree with that^^ and as for our tests you have to know the basics of the engine like where the oil filler/battery/change a wheel/where the spare wheel is and so on

Oh, Cincy, its easy to say that now, but we're not old. I wouldn't doubt that the older someone gets, the closer they get to opposing that idea. I'd settle on a retest at 70, and I don't think thats being unfair. Reaction time among other things have gone downhill since those young years. Theres gonna be some that pass with flying colors, but there are others who have not aged so nicely, who aren't gonna be happy to hear they've lost their license to kill.

If you think about it though, making Auto sports cars isn't such a bad thing in some senses, if you live in an area with horrible traffic, it'd be a better idea to have an auto.
We all know how bad it is getting stuck in traffic with a manual for an hour only inching afew feet every few minutes.[sm=headbang.gif]
I personally wouldn't own an auto unless it was a luxury car, but for some that want a sports car without the stress in high traffic areas it's an alright solution.

I completely agree. - I also believe people should have to go through a seperate test to help people understand high speeds. - As well as a test that is similar to winter conditions so people can UNDERSTAND how to break and turn in snow/ice.
