Curious as to who (if anyone) drives an automatic

RE: Curious as to who (if anyone) drives an automatic
Meh, I personally dont think that a sports car should be auto period the end. Now I would get a luxary car like myRL automatic. Other than that you need to have that physical feeling of your controling the car. I guess it just makes you "one with the car" not just slamming the damn pedal down.

(PS buggered knees are a good reason!)

I love the Tiptronic in my S4, it's fun to play with the paddles and shift it. I also love the 6-speed in both my TT and my A4. I don't feel disconnected driving my S4. It goeswicked fast without having to have brilliant reflexes.

I've been driving stick since I was 16, and struggle now driving an auto.
My left foot is always feeling for the clutch pedal that isn't there whenever I come to a stop, and trying to put the car in drive looks like I'm hand winching a car out of a ditch, its just back and forth between 2 (or whatever is just past D), and reverse or neutral. I can never hit the slot I want.
I'd still drive stick even if I broke my left foot. I can get the TT rolling in first w/o touching the throttle, and speed shifting up or down isn't hard once you have the revs memorized for whatever gear you want.

I an auto TT(not by choice). It was my dads car and he had to get the auto because of my mom [:@]and then they just gave it to me when I turned 16 even though I said I didnt want a car unless it was a manual but oh well my next car will deff be a manual. People do have reasons for getting an auto even though they might be dumb it might be the best choice for a person that wants an amazing sports car but cant get a manual.

its more the older person who like them or people who drive in London where traffic is unbelievable and you would ware out you knee cap very quick changing gear,
also in the UK if you passed your test in an automatic you would have to take another test to drive a manual but if you passed in a manual you can drive both because its easier to drive an automatic
