Default Crankshaft Position sensor replacement 2001 225bhp TT

Hello Guys,

I need to replace the crankshaft position sensor on my TT.
I was just wondering where about it is and how to go about doing it.

I'm assuming I need to get from it underneath where its at the front of the engine bay somewhere???

Any help would be great thanks.

Best regards,

Hello,

I managed to change the sensor. If anyone else has to do this its relatively simple.

Just remove the plastic cover under the engine. Then you will find the sensor close to the oil filter. Remove the plug from the other plug might need to put a screw driver in the outer plug to lift it away from the tab.

To get the sensor out of the engine use a 10mm socket and ratchet then pull the sensor out, might need to leaver it out to pop the o-ring out.

To put back just do it in reverse.
