Default Coupe Passenger Window - auto drop/close

I've just spent the last 35 minutes trawling the forum trying to finds some information on the window's auto drop and auto shut opening sequence. There are a few things regarding the Roadster and how it interlocks with the roof, but nothing on the coupe.

My passenger side window drops as the drivers one does, and indeed closes up when the door is shut, however, it is a few mm away from the rubber seal... no rain can get in, its just annoying wind noise when driving! i have checked the cars records and receipts and its been in for this before.

i tried to manually close the window using the switch, it wont go any higher, i also tried the key in the door method, but the window will not go any higher. Is this a mechanical runner issue or an electrical fault do you think? any quick fixes? or is this 'Stealer' time!?!

Mine keeps going from that open door position to shut door position while driving, these things are nuts... Your problem might just be a window adjustment needed. Typically (since i've never done this on a tt) you remove the inner door panel and unscrew the window and move it slightly up, til it's where you want, then put the panel back on. Either a dealer job or your job if you can hanlde it. SHouldn't be too hard. I had this done along with a number of other items at a local shop on my vette, cost $30 for the adjustment, it's quite easy to remove those panels.

i would recommend a dealer doing it for you. the tt's can be a bit a pain in the ***. the have several adjustment screw's and the each move it a little bit differently you could be there a while doing it.

The adjustments are at the bottem of the door. Under a rubber cap.

ahhhh... any ideas as to how to do it? what do i do? simply loosen tighten then physically move the window? or does it automatically adjust the window as the screw moves?

cheers for all the replies... rough estimate as to cost at a dealer?

I would guess $150 to do both windows at a dealer. The tt bently repair manual says exactly what screws do what. There are 3 at the bottem of the door. One adjusts the high (I think it's the center one, but i'm not positive).
