can somebody post up out of the bentley manuel what the oil clearence specs are for the main bearing in a 01 tt 1.8t we have a typical slude deal going on have fixed it so we think but it still wants to eat the new bearing we are puting in. the new bearing is reading .002 clearence and all the other bearings are reading .004 so i need some hard proof of what the specs are, audi in fresno wont help.

I dont think the bentley manual says what oil clearances are. youre on your own whether or not people are interested in helping or not.

I might add that .002" is negligible for most dealings with a car I can think of, Id look to something else.
