RE: chipped 180 vs. stock 225
Sounds good, 1/4 will be hard for me just because I gota drive to OKC to hit the track but 1/8 I do like every weekend so I will have plenty of slips for that. But when I do hit the quarter I will let you know.

RE: chipped 180 vs. stock 225
just to testify, when i bought my 180 Quattro in april, it came with jsut a GIAC chip. i was on the road with several 225s, and only 1 of them was able to almost match me, off a launch of course. me and this one guy had a few launches and still no dice. on the highway ... im pretty sure the 225 will have an advantage witht he 6th gear. now my 180 is slowly building power, but with just a chip it will beat a 225 no problem (depending on your driving skills) realistically, you could have a car that is way more powerful than another person, but if u dont know how to drive it then you are SOL

drag a 180 should win and on the street it would be close. Might go down to drivers.

RE: chipped 180 vs. stock 225
5spd will be faster in a drag (finish in 3rd instead or 4th on a 6spd)
with a chip the 180 will have ~10hp less but up ~40ftlbs. That will be at 15psi and up it to 20psi and the 180 should have a little more hp than a 225 and 50-55 more ftlbs over a 225.
hope that helps.

RE: chipped 180 vs. stock 225
The octane rating really makes a big difference. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Here we get 87, 89, 91 and 94.
95% of the time im pumping 94, honestly speakign my last car needed 91 but i could get away with 87 (it was easier on my pocket). it was N/A. this car min is 91, the rare time that i pump 91 the difference is amazing. that 209 / 245 with apr may be at 91 since it is the most common octane rating avail. in my experiance, but if u up the octane on it, your definetly getting a bit more power. how much i dont know (i guess its accumilative with what mods you have), will the 225 get a gain on 94?, probably so, how much ,... again i dont know. but my point is that if i pumped 94 and i have GIAC only ( more now ) and the 225 is on dirty 91. that is also gonna make a difference (ontop of the sloppy shifts made by the other driver) ... just throwing some scenarios and ideas out there
