RE: chiping it confused?
yeah that makes alot of sense. i think i'll just call that APR shop and see what they think the best program on my car would be. i just got a grand, what would be the best use of it on my TT? i am thinkinking of a chip for sure, and either an exhaust or wheels.

ok so Avante you got me confused so i called APR( they are very helpful by the way). i asked them all the questions i had and they had all the answers. the chip does need to be suldered in and it has to be done in a shop or at APR. he told me that on 100 octane i should expect to see 215hp thats pretty good , an i should get 3-4 miles a gallon better. thats cool. anyway i think after talking with APR i'll just send my ecu to them and have them do it. it doesn't seem that hard to remove the ecu it should only take about 15 min. to remove and insert. plus i live in north western Ga which is close to there Headquaters.

i opted for teh in car route, so i could sit and read magazines for 2 hrs, instead of 3 days, while waiting to drive my car again.
I only see 1-2 mpg better after chipping, and that cruise control driving, because otherwise, its too much fun to hammer on it. Unfortunately, hammering on it banks me about 14mpg.
