My wife's 2000 TT Quattro (40K miles) CEL came on... showing code P1127. According to my Bently manual, I should be checking three main things; Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pressure Regulator, and Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Regulator Valve. While I have an extensive tool inventory, I don't have the pressure gauges and adapters to diagnose these items. I guess I will have to take the car in for service.

I am looking for an independent Audi mechanic in the North Shore area of Chicago. I do not wish to use my local dealer in whom I have no confidence. Does anyone have recommendations?

More than likely it is the MAF causing that code. Is it still the original one? Try cleaning it first, if the code returns, replace it.
