While replacing my valve cover gasket, I want to also replace that half moon tensioner gasket.
Is it possible to replace it without removing and/or loosening the cam tensioner? I would like to avoid releasing pressure on the drive chain and loosening the bearing caps, if I don't have to. If there is a better way, please let me know.

 

you dont have to remove the cams like some suggest to do the swap. just unbolt the cap and slide the stuff out and new ones in
