A/C Cuts Out, Loud Growl and Vibration
Hot in Iowa.Everything seemingly dandy Friday afternoon and the A/C cuts out for about 5 seconds during which the compressor emits a loud growl, shudders and the entire car vibrates.
Then the A/C cuts back in and works fine for another 30 seconds and the sequence starts over again.
Only happens at idle. Works fine if I am going down the road.
Also interesting is the outside temperature shows way high at idle, may be a thermocouple placement issue.

RE: A/C Cuts Out, Loud Growl and Vibration
Press the recirculate button (curved arrow) and the "up" arrow button next to your climate control lcd. that lcd display should switch to 00c or something to that effect. by rotating the left ****(temp) you can change that display to 1, 2, ..., direct it to "1" and hit the recirc button again. the display should now read 0.0 . If it reads anything different, it indicates a fault with the HVAC. Post back up after you check

SOrry to say I dont know how to go about correcting the problem, but it would seem the issue is your air flow flap, heres what the two codes pull up:
15.5
Air Flow Flap, static block, see *15.5 (see below)
15.7
Air Flow Flap, sporadic block
