um no 225 is stronger stock what i am saying is the diode is ment for 180 TT's DONT DO A DIODE on a 225 It's a pos mod for the 225. Dont tell me i did it wrong cincy you have a 180 thats why it works for you throw it ona 225 you will have the same **** i did.
Talking out your *** now. I would offer to set it up, but i dont think i have the patients to deal with you. I have told you 5 times now what your problem is but you choose to pass it off over and over again. Just keep buying parts and pray you set them up right. One day you may have a working car. Thats far better than letting people who know what they are talking about help you.

red, dude, chill, cincy is right, the diode is a great mod especially for those who are going BT later and dont want to spend the money on a chip then new software when they get a new turbo...

have you tried adjusting your boost and dv?

I like how you get mad at me for telling what you did wrong. You can deny all you want. But hey, its your car. Just dont get mad at me when you blow it up.

Red weren't you using a 4.3v diode?
For some reason I thunked 225s were supposed to use 4.7v diodes... *shrug*
Mebbe I'm wrong!

4.3v= 11psi
4.7v = 17psi

Last time i checked, 17 was > 14.5

wow, i love how you STILL pass off bad info since you cant get it to run right. Since YOU are the only one with the problem, my money is on you. Now when you get your chip and experience the same things, dont be surprised. Totally making my head hurt.
yea i have a GIAC 91+ prog and the 1st 2 gears are jerky smooths out after 3rd. makes good power out of the k03 when i had the Modshack MBC i managed to pump it up a few nothces,the ecu will adapt the fueling toyour settings based on the max parameters specified in your ECU Tune.Be aware, once you start messing with mbc and chip tune .. get ready to hit up the Limp Mode Special. (diode is really the only way to avoid limp mode .. or a different tune )

but really a tune and diode as stated are pretty close .. its really up to prefference. but the REAL way to make power is SEM... and dump the k04, but thats a whole different ball game.

im not going to run a mbc ray say it holds strong to red line so why mess with it to get it to spool a wee bit faster not worth it to me

That's like saying you installed a chevy head on your mustang, and can't understand why it doesn't work.

ORIGINAL: Red_sapphire89

considering im just about the only 225 running it......I installed one on a buddys 180 no problems its the 225 that causes problems
