I'm going with my mechanic on saturday. How can you tell if the timing belt has been replaced?
And keep giving me a check list of things to look for.

It's the little things that get to me... like
Curb rash on wheels!
Tools in the trunk.
First aid kit.
Does the CD changer work? Bring a CD with you and try it out in each slot.
Maintenance records!!
Ask questions about the car; then have them verify the information with a carfax.
How much life is left on the brakes?
What type of oil did they use for changes?
What kind of gas did they use?

Good luck and don't settle!
There are gobs of used TT's out there, and the right one is just waiting for you!

I wish I had picks of the aftermath. Looked like a yard sale going down the road.

Hit black ice in march of 04' slide sideways and hit a stonewall. went onto the roof onto the wheels and back onto the roof and slide another 40 yards.

walked away without a scratch.

.clipse is still alive after (i think) wrecking one hard too.
I know a guy who wrecked his and walked away from it too.

I guess they are good cars to wreck.
