Im buying the GT2871R from atp within 2 days. Does anyone have any suggestions beforeI make this big purchase? Does it bolt on directly and can i use my 42 draft design 3" dp? Will i need bigger injectors? i have the apr chip 93 octane so i should be good with the tuning coorect? Just let me know thanks

Well I have lemmiwinks and I have programs of VAG COM, but I need to buy the cable, why?

 

It will be good to have for tuning reasons. You can run a 2871R on your APR flash however you will want to start with low boost like 1bar, make a run check to see if your having any timing pulled, check your a/f ratio, and check your injector duty cycle. Then slowly start cranking up the boost and doing a run, then if everything is good do it again. Then once you start to see that your pulling timing or that your a/f ratio is starting to lean, you will want tune with lemmiwinks, add some fuel stuff like that. It will take some work but you can do it. There are guys running GT30R's on K04 software. Check out vortex for guys that are running the 71R on K04 software. Or you can contact Unitronics, Revo, Giac, or hell I think you could contact APR ask them exactly what you would need for their big turbo flash, if you have to upgrade injectors and fuel pump most likely. Give them a list of all your mods that you will have on your engine and when its running. They can come up with a tune that will be best for you. Then all you have to do is ship your ecu to them or go to the local dealer and have them re-flash it. This takes the guess work out of "tuning" you will have to pay more but most likely its going to be a good tune that is safe. Just email those companys and ask them what would be best. Try to stay away from the MIKA tuning kit from ATP there have been some guys that have thrown rods thru their block, not enought power, bad engine problems, etc when they go with that kit. Good luck!
