There shouldnt be oil or gas in them. If you pcv system is good and/or you have a catch can you dont have anything to worry about

I have oil in the vacuum system. It was everywhere when I wascleaning things outthe other day.I think I have a bad pcv. Seems it's a royal PITA to get to though. I'm going to have to take off the entire intake manifold to get to it I think!

Ya it doesn't seem that hard. Take off TB. Take off vacuum lines to manifold. Undo fuel line.Undo bolts connectingto valve cover. And it's off.
Is it that simple?

you can get a little pack at HD. You can also just use cable ties.

Silicone is supposed to be much softer than rubber so apparently the typical screw clamps can damage the hose. I saw it recommended to get some that have a smooth surface with which to clamp so I t doesn't damage the hose. Could be all myth though.

The vac lines, if the correct size is used, you dont really need to use the ties/clamps. Plus if your tightening the clamp that tight, you've gone overboard

when I bought my boost machine, the silicone hoses it came with were tight enough that they didnt need clamps. you can find the website to the hoses on the modshack website.

I just use zipties. -shrugs-

maybe I'm just ghetto though. I have metal hose clamps, but if one of THOSE comes off... it'll damage alot more than a ziptie would. lol
