If your exhaust isnt upgraded to 2.5 or 3 inch you might want to do that to add some hp. You can get a complete exhaust for about $800 or so. The upgraded exhaust should get you about 35 - 40 more hp. 2.5 inch is good if you dont plan on getting a bigger turbo.

full exhaust system? meaning downpipe-cat-cat-back and muffler? I haven't seen any systems that cheap anywhere.... the cheapest I saw was neuspeed and that was nearly 800 for just the cat-back...

Remember we can use the same parts as VW and they are a biy cheaper than parts for Audi. A downpipe with a high flow cat is about $290 and I got a borla catback for about $600 I think. And got about 40 or more hp.

won't I still need to get a new flex-pipe, or will the new DP come with a new flex pipe? If the new DP comes with a flex pipe I'll order one right away...

I know that the tectonic downpipe I got had some flex pipe on it and the highflow cat on it too. The downpipe connects to the turbo and then down to where the catback would be connected. So if that is where the front manifold flex pipe is then the downpipe would work. But ask your mech to make sure.

Ok, it looks like ACHtuning has the Neuspeed DP for $290 (http://www.achtuning.com/shop.asp?CategoryID=54)

Would this one be ok with nothing else upgraded? I mean, like no cat-back or hi-flow cat or anything?

Well, it's all about timing and money isn't it? I sold my little computer on Ebay today, so I'm gonna take the TT in tomorrow to just have the guy fabricate a new flex-pipe and be done with it. He's gonna give me a better deal too because my A4's cat-converter FELL OFF this weekend and i'm going to take it to him when I pick up the TT

This should work for now, although, this summer I guess i'm going to just do a REVO chip program and a FULL exhaust (Hi-flow DP and CAT, and borla cat-back...
