Ok so i have a 2001 tt quattro and while racing i loose all boost in third gear till about 6rpm's. Boost works in all other gears just fine. Can anybody explain to me whats going on? Stock turbo aftermarket piping and intercooler.

The only thing anybody could tell you to do is systematically start at one end and go to the other. Sorry man but that's a very broad symptom. As a troubleshooter there are many different areas I would start but you never know until you get elbow deep into it.

I understand. It's no biggie. I guess something else I was considering as well was the wastegate actuator or intercooler piping but if it only occurs in that particular gear between a specific RPM range then I can't see how that would be it either of those.

probably going into limp mode. without a a VAG com your flying blind. Possibly bad MAF sensor. Unplug it at the connector and see if it runs ok.

If you have a dual mass flywheel/clutch and

ya ive got no clue and it only happens when i speed shift. as long as i dont dump the clutch its fine

you might be changing that out when it dies........it's fun.
