You will still get the air forced thru the other vents. It is no different than if you were to close the vent by turning the ring. The excess air is forced thru the others. If you do not want to purchase the ring adapter just use a 2 5/8 gauge it fills the entire vent and fits great and looks stock.

 

im not too sure about the air vent thing. I guess it can be nice, i'll keep looking for a mount..

 

I used the mount that came with the gauge. Just had to pry the fins out of the vent.
If you do this carefully everything can be put back together at a later date.
The only other thing I had to do was cut a little notch in the air duct, so the vac line wouldn't get crimped. Something like this... /\

 

just get a pod / cup mount.

 

If you are unsure about the vent application just us a steering column mount. These can be found at 42dd.

 

The install was easy, the hardrest part was removing the wiper arms, where a battery terminal puller needed to be purchased. I got the AWE guage, and their instructions were cake, but the light stays on all the time when the vehicle is on, and I don't care much for that.

 

Wiper arms why would you remove those??? For the light wire it to the dimmer switch (green wire if I recall correctly) and then you can have full controll and they behave just like the enterior lights and gauges do stock.

 

You need to remove the wiper arms in order to remove the plastic cowling making it much easier to run the boost hose into the engine bay. Those wipers really are a PITA to remove!

 

Well that's one way to run the vac line.
The other is to poke a hole through the rubber grommet in the firewall.
