well I think I'm going to bring it to a shop that only works on European cars. They should have vagcom.
And by the way my check engine goes away after its been on for a while. I cant drive my car for long before my epc comes on and no throttle, which its like every 2 mins and right before 8-10 psi. [:@]

RE: Boost Guage confusion??!!
UPDATE: So my car is at a shop and they told me that I have these codes
18048 eeprom
17743 engine torque exceeded
17522 oxygen sensor bank 1
The mechaninc said he wants to fix code 18048 eeprom first which is the ecu, he said my ecu was shot and to notify my tuner because this could be causing me this headache. The code even suggests to notify the tuner lol. He said most likely its my ecu thats making everything act up. So i dont know what to do if maybe i should contact awe tunning to get them to replace my ecu and get a refund OR contact my warantee company and just get a new ecu.

Please believe me when I say this... My car did the EXACT same thing!
Same codes, same EPC headaches, hell I even had to replace my bank 2 O2 sensor!
I have NOT replaced my ECU, and my car is now running perfect!
Even ask Ray, we were hanging out when I showed him the 18048 code.
Yet the next morning I cleared the codes, and we went to Show N' Go.
You don't have your MBC tuned in. I'm willing to put money on it ($5 bucks says you need to adjust the MBC)!
Take a 2 mm allan key and turn it two full turns to the right (towards the car).
That should put you at about 13-15 PSI, and you can adjust it further from there if need be.
Actually I'll be leaving for NY shortly; if you need a hand please don't hesitate to ask!
I promise to resist from biting.
I'll PM you my cell phone number.
Side note: If your ECU was truly fried you would not be able to start the car.

Well before i was able to clear the code and drive with no epc light for weeks, but not it comes on every 2 mins. In addition to this my mechanic reset the car today as well and still epc light no matter what..If i did had to replace my ecu how much would it be?any ideas..

RE: Boost Guage confusion??!!
If it's the physical chip that's bad, I think AWE can solder a new one in and load GIAC software with a factory (stock) image. I know that I had to have that done when I tried to go GIAC after having Revo flashed on my 2001 A4. (This was early for Revo and their program never worked on my car.) The local place I went to is a reseller for AWE and they had to send the ECU to them. They put in a new eprom and the local place flashed it when they got it back. I think the chip was $50 installed. Call them.

RE: Boost Guage confusion??!!
well yea def cause it was flashed at waterfest in englishtown last year in july..yea i think thats what im going to do because if GIAC is giving me probs then ill rather go back to stock, and then maybe get APR later down the road, or maybe diode lol..I mean chips are suppose to work perfect aren't they!!??lol.. i just dont understand the purpose to having to use an MBC to keep the chip from throwing codes, unless you are using it to have quicker turbo response/lag..AND also If i put 20 cash premium i can only drive for like an hour and some change before im almost down to empty, i dont think that's normal..haha

Becca, you do realize that the bank 2 o2 only monitors the cat right? It has absolutly nothing to do with the way the car runs at all.

Which was that I was in the same boat as SmoothTT... Incase you missed that part of the thread.
You do have a point though! Seeing as my knowledge of the TT is so inferior compared to the great cincyTT.
SmoothTT: My offer to help you out (and $5 bet) still stands.
Good luck with your car, and whatever you end up doing to resolve the issue!
