Personally, i love my setup. I may go with the AWE gauge later on, but that an easy swap once you have the wires / hose run. I love my vents still being functional. :-)

Here's a picture. $50 guage from Summit, mount ring from modshack. Picture taken while driving around the track at Watkin's Glen.

Heres mine, with the Modshack ring still retains airflow and was only about 80 bucks all together with Ring, Gauge, and Glue.

225tt, i have the exact same gauge. I like it, but i think the stock backlight is kinda... not white. :-)

I'm thinking about tossing a LED in mine so i can get rid of the yellow tint from the bulb type light. either that, or im putting the red thing on the bulb. lol.

I put the red cover on it, it makes it alot better just trust me! It now follows the same theme as the OEM red backlighting. I always get asked if the boost gauge is stock like that.

seeing as i tend to buy overpriced things... im just getting the awe setupseems easier to me and already matches everything
$270 for a guage is absurd. I can name 5 things right now I'd rather buy with that money.

Ive got the AutoMeter Ultra-Lite 30/30 in my Left Vent. Works great and the red light cover matches the interior perfect.

I too retained all ventilation. I think people don't realize that the vent ring adapter is used so you don't lose the use of the vent. It's a slotted ring that fits the 2 1/16" guage perfectly, leaving a ¼" slot all the way around the gauge for air to still flow.

I think I may also upgrade the light to the little LED replacement bulb from ECS tuning. For a few bucks or so, its worth a try. The existing red matches perfectly with inside light, but it can be a tad bit hard to read the gauge sometimes. We'll see.
I think that gauge in the vent is probably one of the best looking mods I've gotten thus far. It looks absolutely stock. IMO
