Best stage I clutch????
Does anyone know what might be a good stage I cltuch that could handle at least 275 hp for a TT? Also, any idea what it should cost and how much it should cost to install? I got a quote from one place to install that I feel is a rip off. They told me it would be $900 just to install a clutch. I was thinking it should be $1200 at the most for the complete project (clutch and install). I've never had to replace a cltuch so some input would be great. Thanks!!!!

RE: Best stage I clutch????
quattro. my stock clutch can't handle the boost when I increase it with the revo sps 3. Its ok from the start for now, but it slips pretty bad when I try to accelerate in 5th and 6th gear. Someone mentioned to me that the clutch might be covered in the first 50K miles under warranty. I find this hard to believe, but has anyone heard of this? I bought my car used so I have no idea how the person before me drove and I've only had it for 10K miles, but does anyone know if the stock clutch can handle close to 300 hp driven correctly?

It's not the HP the clutch needs to support its the torque. I've had a few VW's in the 400 HP range and I alwayed used SPEC clutches. Try to stay away from the puck style. They get a little hard to drive and can wear the pressure plate out if you don't drive it correctly.
