need suggestions / input on a turbo replacement for my 2001 audi tt 1.8t engine code ATC.

i bought a k04 off of ebay; seller said it would be a direct bolt on. but the housing doesnt line up with the manifold... so now i have to find another one.

or is there another way around this..? what do i need to look for when purchasing my next one to guarantee that it will fit..

ATC is a 180 hp and I believe they have the KO3 turbo.

 

that's correct.. so i have to stick with the K03?? bc i was pretty sure that the one i pulled off was a k04. i thought maybe the person before me upgraded...

 

Not trying to be an ***, but what made you think it was a ko4?
