Glad to are you all had success with this as well!! The company we ordered the valve body from were great and very helpful! i noticed someone mentioned having to replace the toming belt, which we also had to do. my dad was also able to fix, costs around $500 in parts. Unfortunately, although we were able to get my '03 TT up and running in March 2011, I traded it in in August 2011. Found out we were expecting and opted for a Mini Cooper Countryman... Need room for baby!!
Although.... It ran perfectly until the day I got rid of it! I do have a brand new, in box, from the dealership, front door speaker I need to sell if anyone is interested. Bought it because we thought the speaker was busted, replaced the radio and the speaker was fine afterall... And then could not get a refund. $200+ new
I sure did looovvveee my TT and maybe again in the future will be as to own another one! Even with the issues I had with it, I miss it!

Default What about computer settings?

After replacing the Valve Body does one have to bring the computer back to factory settings and then perform a drive cycle? Thanks.

The one I got from Revmax was pre-set no tweaking needed. Once installed it acted very strange during the first few miles. I had to stop a few times, turn car off and start again. Got better with every restart. A little jerking continued for about 50 mile then it went fine. I heard that's normal because the VB adjusts itself during driving, sometimes it takes up to 100-200 miles.

I cannot believe this thread is still getting responses 5 years later. I have had 3 babies and 2 car upgrades since selling the Audi TT! Lol!

But yes, it seemed to fix the car completely at the time. I'm not sure if u read above where I sold the car in August 2011, repair was done in March 2011 (pregnant with baby #1). However, it ran like a brand new car after replacing the VB!!

Dang, I'm at work and I have all this info at home. I think you want RevMax. Google them. The really prefer you call and talk to them when ordering. When you call and speak to them have your VIN with you. They are very helpful. We put in a VB about 3-4 months ago and it fixed our problem too. Our's is a 2003. Same as you. If this isn't the site, post back here and I'll look it up. The part was about $650 and there was a $200 or $250 core charge but they refunded that when we sent the old one back.
