Default Audi TT Quattro Modification questions (not normal FAQ)

I was cruising through some older posts. I ran across one that said, "for $17,000, your audi would be faster then God". I knowif you put 17g into anything, it's gonna be hella fast. Truth is, most people don't have that much money. From what I have gathered, you can get a 350-400 crank horsepower TT. These kits cost like 7g. Now, at what point do you really have to worry about trnamission and drive-links and so forth? I mean, let's say somebody had like 10g to invest, could they get 450 crank HP or more? I get lost trying to sift through all the "info" on websites. I am just unclear as to what it would take to get one of these killer 500whp or more TTs.

For about 5Ktotal,you can get from 350-450 whp. Thats at the wheels, you just have to be able to research where to get the kit and tuning.

or put 17500 into your mk1 and be faster than both
It better be faster than god for that much $.
Actually, I said it had better be faster than god for that much cash.
If you want 450hp keep the TT as a daily driver, and mod something else.

TT's really aren't beasts.
As cincy has stated 225's haven't even broken into the 12's.
That's pathetic.

Little car, big motor = fast.
Fat car, little motor + $10k= misdirected resources.

Oh no I was more curious then anything else. I just read your post (sorry about reading it wrong), and it got me thinking. I was jst moreso commenting on people who have all these 500whp cars. And thenw ondering if that was even possible of the TT.

Agreed..if you want fast, just find a good foxbody mustang or something, dump 5k into it and there you have it-fast! But you can put that same 5k into a TT and have a badass daily driver-and that's what it was made for-to be just that, especially with a few mods

My fault.
I think he was talking about the APR III setups.

I just quote people, I don't check to see if my quotes or their infoare accurate...[&:]

Still, with what it takes to get to that point...[:'(]
