Default Audi TT Dipstick Funnel

So yesterday I was detailing my car and cleaning up the engine bay and put the slightest bit of pressure on the oil dipstick funnel and the top snapped. I hear this is pretty normal and I was going to buy a new one from

I dont want moisture and other stuff to get in there so Im ordering the part now for 8 bucks. Im guessing its an easy install? Do you just pull out the old tube and pop the new one in? Thanks fellas.

Yep thats all you need to do. I found needle nose pliers to be useful in pulling it off. Be careful to not let any little plastic pieces get down the tube. You should probably use a vaccum to clean it up after you pull the old dipstick funnel off.
p.s. I just got a new dipstick funnel at my local VW dealership for $7 I think. (the audi deaklership was out at the time)

walk into any VW dealer and buy the part for $7-$8..same as the Golf etc. Mine went brittle (most do) because of the engine bay heat. Easy fix

If they get brittle from heat why do they make them out of plastic?
Oh wait. I know.... So they can make more money off the replacements[8D]

so i went to do the job today and man was that thing britte. It was falling apart all over the place and came out in 100 pieces. It was hard to get my hand in there to eventually pull the base out. When I go to put the new one in it doesnt seem to be secure. When I pull on the dipstick the whole funnel comes out again..... how do I secure it in place?
