What does ARS standfr, the button o the dash, and also what size door speakers are in the TT and is it easy to change?

Its ASR first off. -

Its your traction control. - I for example always turn mine off. - I hate it.


As for the speaker system, does yours have bose speakers or not?

Yeah it has Bose, yeah i saw it was asr when i got in after i posted it, if i turn it off my tires will spin better?

6 ½" woofers. I had 1 ¼" tweeters put in where the stock tweetswere the back is the same.

The answer to this is basically yes. What happens when ASR is on is that it checks to see if your tires are breaking loose. If it has already adjusted the 20% power to the rear tires and still notices wheel slippage it will apply braking power to regain tire control. This is done very quickly and has saved many people from slidding off the road while cornering. The issue with this is that if the tire slipping was done under some control then you are actually robbing the car of power. It makes the car safer but a tad slower in the acceleration/handling department.

2000 tt w/ ASR is a fwd car. The AWD version has just a blank button that does nothing.

Thanks man, I was thinking of myESP button and thinking it had the same function. Anyway, basically the same thing ignoring the rear wheel part.
