Seeing as you have the APR stage 3+ kit; if your car wasn't loud I'd be concerned!

Oh, and by the way don't tell me what kind of day to have!

yeah sorry about that, just when your first post on a forum you have been lurking for months gets derailed its hard to just sit back.
apologies to all, incl. diehlryan

Its supposed to be loud I know, haha. But what I am encountering is earsplitting, Its comparable to droning bass on max volume.

My concern is that I have never been inside another 225 with 3" APR exhaust. Im hesitant to bring it by the tuning shop, because I am new in town and dont wanna get charged.

Maybe I will make a soundclip and start a new thread, all fresh and clean just like everyone apparently likes it :-)

Mine isn't too loud. It has a nice rumble at idle and under WOT it has a feral snarl. There is a little boom cruising around 2800 - 3000 rpm, but nothing that some Dynamat won't take care of. I just haven't bothered because truth told, it really isn't too bad. I'd have the system checked to make certain it is installed correctly. I had mine done by my dealership and they did a beautiful job. The only complaint I have is that I need to get the ECS dog-bone mount. I get a little vibration trailing throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear when the engine shifts on the stock rear mount and the exhaust touches the sub-frame. It's a 3" pipe... there is NO clearance to speak of.

Hi thanks for the PM.

I have a feeling that I am in th esame boat with the dogbone....just I suspect my exhaust is making contact most or all of the time.
I had a shop instal the setup but I am nowhere near them...do you think an audi dealership would look at it without trouble / without not knowing what to? do.

I would get the dogbone mount and have a good exhaust shop look it over. That or take it to a mechanic that you trust. I happen to have an excellent relationship with my dealership and take all my work to them. It's a great system if it's configured correctly. I think it's the nicest system on the market. LOL... should be for what it costs.
