any tt owners with eibach coilovers?

i think i might be able to build a bandstrap out of some thick steel. if i weld it one spot weld at a time, i think i can do this. it looks like the attachment for the sway bar is about tire level on the inboard side of the shock.

yeah kid, im planning on taking it to a guy whos like rain man with a welder. i figure he can probably make me something. kinda like the clamp on the bottom of the pic that holds the brake lines on. he could spot weld in a couple of places to make sure it holds, and not generate to much heat on the shock like a consistant bead of weld. this guy makes some insane custom exhaust. thanks for the pics, it should help. if any of you guys have any input, now is the time to spit it.

thats exactly what im saying. i talked to my buddie the welding magician, and he says that were probably not going to have to weld it to the cylinder. his suggestion is to build a heavy guage clamp, and weld it to the upper edge of the frame on the cylider(on the brake line bracket in your picture) the next thing i need to figure out is, how high the sway bar mount sits on the coilover. and i guess, how much tension is on the sway bar when it is mounted but off of the ground. without knowing where to mount it in respect to heigth, im kinda guessing where to mount this bracket. if i make it to tight(mount it too high) will that be doing more harm than good, or will it just be a bitch to connect?
alot of **** to think about(**** you eibach!)

um... as long as your sway bar link bolt is perpendicular to the ground then you should be good... mine does sit right about at the top of the tire, little lower though my guess... hard to tell because i dont have much room to peak around and its not all the way to the top of the tire...
bottom line, its a little lower then the tire (the bolt that is)... however i think you should be ok as long as the sway bar link bolt is perpendicular to the ground
