So out of curiousity, why are you guys saying Koni (or Stassis) is a better coilover than the Bilstein PSS9's?

Or another one he likes are the KW V2 or V3, however they are a lot more expensive than the Stassis (1095.00)Stasis street sports -They are $1095 straight from Stasis. Call jason, jared or beau at 888.9.STASIS.

RE: Another suspension question...
not to confuse you more but there's vmaxxs on my TT and i love them - previous owner had them put on so its not like i had a choice but adjustability is easy, rides like other setups from what i can tell, and no issues whatsoever. im only telling you this as a fellow college student - save if you can. im not telling you to cut corners ("race" springs alone for lowering could be classified as that) but i believe its a good kit and ive only heard of once occurance where a shock blew out and pete from stratmosphere was more than happy to replace it!
congrats on school bro! ive only got 3 semesters left, no idea where the time went

RE: Another suspension question...
Regarding the rear springs on the PSS9's I know therewas an old issue of the rear springscollapsing but I have not heard anything about them collapsing in several years. What I like about the PSS9's is the fact you can adjust front and rear dampening while the coilovers are on the car (you have to take them off to adjust with the Konis- not sure if that's just for the rears or for rears and fronts). Like Mevans607, I've been looking to buy PSS9s as well so am interested to hear what everyone has to say about the different brands of coilovers.

RE: Another suspension question...
Yeah that is the exact reason why I was getting the Bilsteins. There is no reason for me to get coilovers if I can't easily adjust the stiffness while they are on the car. I just have to be able to go from a street-sensible setting to a stiffer track-day setting in a matter of minutes. This post really was never meant as a place to debate which brand to buy because I am pretty much sold on PSS9s. I mean unless someone has like quantitative proof of shortcomings in the Bilsteins, and that means not just anecdotal evidence, then I am getting the PSS9s. I find it funny though that despite all the posts about which brand is the best, someone has yet to actually answer my original questions haha
Two Original Questions:
1) Is there any reason why I shouldn't just get the less expensive 1/2 KMAC kit instead of adjustable tie arms in order to adjust camber?
2) Besides something to adjust the camber, is there any other part that is essential to buy/replace when buying coilovers in order to maintain the car's longevity when putting coilovers on the car?
It would be much appreciated if someone could just answer those two questions really quick so I can go ahead and buy the coilovers. I mean it shouldn't be too hard because they are both potentially yes/no questions...

I hope you know that you don't get the choice of where you want to go in the Army. If you want to go to sniper school I believe you have to score expert on your rifle test (36 out of 40 targets) with a rifle that may do 3moa at best on iron sights with targets up to 350 meters. If you don't pass that mark, they don't even consider you and put you where ever they need you. And you don't get to choose to go to ranger school.

Go with the half kit; unless you're planning to lower it more than 1.5 inches. In that case you'd need a full rear camber kit.
2) Besides something to adjust the camber, is there any other part that is essential to buy/replace when buying coilovers in order to maintain the car's longevity when putting coilovers on the car?
You may wish to consider the upper strut mounting kit. It's like $30 from ECS. Also if you're doing this yourself there's a special tool you'll need to get the old strut out. It's called the housing spreader tool; which can also be found at ECS. You don't necessarily need the spreader tool, but unless you have a garage full of other misc. tools I recommend it. Plus it will make the job easier!
