Default Another stereo questions

Hey everyone
I've been building a sub enclosure for my TT and i wanted to know what I have to buy to connect it to the stock deck to the amp. I have a 2000 with the concert stereo system. Also when I do connect it is there a way to hook my ipod up to the amp or whatever I need to install?
Thanks

why would u hook the ipod up to the amp? u have to find an rca box that will give u an auxillary input to the head unit... or find out if your year stock head unit has a special wire...

im actually looking into how to install the wire on my a6... they are available...came across your post in the search

i have a 97 maxima with an aftermarket sony head unit... i got the auxilary input BOX from sony and my ipod stays in my glove compartment and is controlled thru the stereo... hoping for same setup with audi

i have my stock radio connected to an amp...
all you need is a HIGH-LOW CONVERTER... go to best buy they have them there for $25 its a small box with 2 wires coming out from one side (the ones that you connect to the rear speakers) and on the other side theres two rca's connections ( the ones you need to run to the amp) thats all thats the way i have it in my car 2000 tt

you need a line output converter, you can get one at bestbuy for like 30, it connects to your speaker outputs from you stock head unit and then gives you the rca connections you need to run to your amp

and the ipod adapter, you can get a universal isimple model is77, or the blitzsafe piece

post pics when you get the box done

well.. very very late reply, but hopefully it'll give more options to future readers. What i did was ordered PAC adapters. I forget the specifics since i did this a year ago, but you have to purchase the VW amp add on, and then the rca outputs. All in all its two adapters behind my stock concert headunit that retains all stock stereo and adds on my aftermarket amplifer
