Yep... Friday.

TB is toast. 80,098 Miles. [:@]

Totally my fault blah blah blah.
Not asking for sympathy, just want to let you guys know.

Hopefully my warranty will cover most of it.

I'm trying to get in touch with Rayveedub to see about a Jetta VR6T swap. I'm guessing it won't be a buttload more cash than just replacing the 1.8T plus I can part out the 1.8T or sell it to recoup some of the expenses.

My 2nd gear synchro is shot, so I might be able to work the R32 bellhousing into that warranty claim also.

I'm looking to get 300+whp on this build, with room to expand from there. What is thebest route to get there?

Keep in mind that my TB is snapped, and I was cruising at 70 mph, so there is no way I didn't damage the engine.

Any Comments, suggestions?

That sounds about right. I've heard many accounts of repair costs around $7000 for repair after a Timing belt failure.

A VR6 swap would be sweet! Do it up!
But... umm... You want a ride to Waterfest this Sunday?

That's a possibility.

I was pretty much gonna give up for this year [&o]

But it might be good for some motivation.

Thanks for the invite, maybe we can figure something out.
