Default ALARM PROBLEM HELP!!!

Hi Peeps

I have an 02 reg TT 225BHP. Now, the car is great except for one minor gripe......When the alarm goes off the lights (indicators..blinkers etc) flash but I get no sound. Anyone know why? I recall on my 328i BMW there was a a little key to turn the alarm sound on or off. Any thoughts? Your help appreciated. Thanks in advance

Best Regards

Like if you hit the panic button, you get lights but no sound, or when you lock the car, you don't get the sick little 'honk' or whatever that is Audi designed? Or both?

Regardless, sounds like a problem with the alarm horn. First step is to see if its connected. I believe its under the hood, near the firewall. You'll need to do a little more research, or just start digging around for something horn like if you need more help. Thats as much as I know.

Did it ever work?

Possibly it´s not right configured... For example: in germany when you lock the car only the crosslights blink and there is no acoustic signal. But you can recode your management by your own with a OBD2 jacket and a laptop ;-)
But you can let read the fault codes by Audi and they are also able to reconfigure it how it should be.
