My question is could I just use a AFC II to control my new injectors without getting the car chipped by using the diode mod?

 

Yes and No, you can do some things with that, but then you then cant use things like lemmi. ALso the ecu doesnt always get along with it. If you have a 2000, it may work some, 01+ no, not even worth trying. Send Jeff on here a pm and asked him about his experience with it on his a4.

 

Great thanks for the input... Also forgot to mention this would be with the big turbo kit on. I was just going to pick on up to make my car run for maybe another month till i could purchase the chip. Revo sells RC550 files right.

 

If you plan on putting the turbo on BEFORE the chip, its better to jsut run low boost and use stock fueling. THEN when you get a chip install the injectors and chip (Yes, revo sells the 550file)

 

So you would say dont even worry about getting a AFC ?

 

 

yeah don't bother if you're getting chip cause you can't use both...and BTW, APEXi makes the AFC SELECT for euro cars....I have one, and will work with no probs
