ahhh radio = possesed!! help!!!
So, tonight I went out to my car to grab some paperwork, and as i open my door i notice my the red radio light on on my reciever. Blank screen. lights on. So I turned my car on, and turned the radio off, stillblank screen with lights. So i try ejecting the CD but wont come out. I turn my car back off and the cd player screen is still blank with the red light showing. I know soon enough my battery is going to die out because of this. Can anyone please tell me what the problem is with my CD PLAYER?!?!?!

I dont think your battery is going to die because of this. Its been posted about before but I dont remember the outcome.
Try this:
1. Make sure you have your radio security code. (often found with owners manual. written on a card.)
2.Unhook your battery.
3. Wait 15mins.
4. Hook your battery back up.
5. Check radio, enter security code.

did you get this fixed?
if you dont want to pull the battery I just read on AW that fuse 24 is for the radio. it will cut its power. make sure you have your sercurity code for the radio though.

Mine just did the same thing tonight. I guess you would call this the red glow of radio death. Must be an Audi radio bug going around.
It induced a slight panic. The only thing I could think of during my quiet drive home was a Cha-Ching, $500-1000 stereo replacement. But pulling fuse worked for me.
BTW - its fuse #42.
No doubt very strange. Even more strange after you pull the fuse the radio stations stay in after resetting code. Was pretty sure I would have to re-program but didn't.

The concert radios have a failsafe if it sees a short and displays a red screen. The only problem with this is its usually the radio thats causing a short. You can re-set it by removing power to the radio but chances are its gonna happen again in which case the radio has to be replaced. The radio headunits really aren't that expensive from the dealer, maybe $300.
