Yeah, if you've got a Quattro, don't stagger sizes, it screws with the Haldex. If you're FWD, I don't see that there would be a problem.

The only thing that will screw up the haldex system is if the rolling circumference is off by more than 3%.

Going wider in the rear than in the frount is fine. Many TTers do it.

looks like your in the same situation as me. You want a wheel with a deep dish off set. I have been looking two. Just figure out how much of an off set you want. they range anywhere from 10mm dish to 40 or 50mm deep dish i think. The front is going to require a smaller off set from the back compared toother TT's iv seen with deep dish rims. I just havent figured out what yet size offset we need yet. Anyone know what looks good?

Don't listen to people who havn' run staggered wheels.

It works just fine.
Contrary to what was posted, Haldex is the ONLY all wheel drive system you can run staggered on.

TorSen is the system you want to keep even.

I've been running 8.5's up front and 10s out back for about a year now and my haldex has yet to be "screwed with" whatever that means.

The haldex uses thixotropic fluid between tightly toleranced plates to created friction through the shearing of the fluid and plates.

Torsen is mechanicaly linked, torsen is not stagger friendly.
