Aftermarket Clutch Noise
i recently just out in a 02m clutch in my 225 tt and there seems to be a clanking noise when its in idle, and stops when i push the clutch in, has anyone ever heard of this or know what it might be?

its normal
its flywheel chatter and is common when you replace ur clutch/flywheel w/ aftermarket. you are going from an unsprung clutch and dual mass sprung flywheel to a sprung clutch and 1 piece unsprung flywheel. The style change and extreme loss in weight causes it to chatter at idle when the clutch isnt engaged.

I have the same thing in my car and I heard that it is common but supposidly you can remedy some of it by using redline transmission fluid additive...I haven't tried it yet but southbend which is the clutch I used said thats what would solve most of it. they said you can't completely stop it.
