Aftermarket Audio hookup
hello all, new owner of a '02 225q TT.
the bose concert radio isn't really been good for, me and i was looking at upgrading.
is there a aftermarket unt that will interaface with the in-dash display? i've come to like seeing the music info displayed there, but then again, i'd really like a nice hookup for my ipod as well
thanks!

RE: Aftermarket Audio hookup
you can get the ipod integration at pretty much any audio place, like circuity city or stereo shop... stuff like that..
as for speakers/subs, idk about speakers but i put kickers in mine and they are loud... probably not as loud as Jay though

RE: Aftermarket Audio hookup
most all cd changers need to be mated to a matching manufacturers head unit.
I have found tons of units with ipod connectors, but i am still in the dark about whther an aftermarket unit can talk to the instrument cluster.
any ideas out there?

Your six disc needs to be paired with the stock head unit or it wont work. Best bet is to get a aftermarket MP3 player and it will hold over 10 discs on 1 so your problem is solved. Plus you will probley get the option of a wireless remote and more power to your speakers with more eq settings depending on what radio you do get. Satilite radio is a nice thing to have too!
