42 dd dp clunking noise?.....ecu upgrade problem?

Default 42 dd dp clunking noise?.....ecu upgrade problem?

i just got my downpipe and intercooler installed today and there seems to be a clunking noise when i shift and there are low rpms? any idea?.......also i got my car flashed again after the install and now when i go passed 3500 the car wont go it will just rev up and when i get to 3rd gear it wont go at all just rev and when i try to punch it shuts down epc light turns on?????? any help?

Dunno about the weird rev issue but the clunk is from your dp hitting the subframe. You need an ecs dogbone mount kit.

They sell the ECS dogbone kit @ ecstuning.com

42draft also sells the dogbones I believe. I have the yellow, wich is the softest aftermarket available, after the initial break-in period I have no vibrations and no DP clunk.

Your DP might just need adjusting, but the dogbone is a worthy upgrade in its own right.

i did the dogbone and my dp still vibrates and certain rpms... its really annoying. I think im going to take my car the an exhaust shop and see if they can do something to make it stop.

but dogbone SHOULD solve the problem.

That is why the holes where you bolt the pieces together are ovals, so you can adjust it slightly.
